WebBoth had the same cooling set up. I got the one without it, so got 2 heat pipes just for the cpu. But i think this was mostly a cost cutting measure by lenovo, not a goal to actually give this laptop realy good cooling. Strangely, the t460s also had 2 heat pipes (but it was visualy different), but the cooling was inferior even after repaste it.
