The job was fairly easy and straightforward. The only real issue I had was with the plate that bolts to the tub.

With Novak shift lever installed to the T case, that arc translates into a throw distance of 3.20 inches. The Novak cable has a total available throw length of 3.10 inches. Place the transfer case in 4lo, connect the shifting cable and adjust it from either end until the stud reaches the center of the shifter mounting point, on mine there was about a 1/2" gap at the console when in 4lo.
WebFeb 25, 2011 · I order 2 Novak SK2XC shifter cable kits. I just got the one in the 99, it took about 4 hours with wrestling with rusty bolts and crap but all in all a fairly easy install. No more rattle and it shifts like butter and stays in gear !! I can't wait to get to work on the 06 now. I would recommended this kit to anyone.
