Webb12 mars 2014 · The compression release mechanism on the camshaft comes apart pretty often on these (compared to others). I have one that was given to me just this week with the same problem. You'll have to open it up and change the camshaft and dig out the pieces of the old one. Good design, poor quality materials. Webb21 okt. 2008 · I agree with 93-5.0 - that unless you engine has had an enormous amount of work (or run without oil) - then rings should be OK. If you engine was working fine - then all of a sudden you find you have low compression - then I would suspect stuck valve or decompression mechanism.
